Firstly, what does fair dinkum mean?

Today, fair dinkum is taken to mean ‘true’ or ‘genuine’.
It is Australian/English slang meaning genuine, honest, fair and square.
The question “Are you fair dinkum?” thus means “Are you telling me the truth?” or “Do you really mean that?”
The origins of the phrase are not really known. There is a story that says it comes from the Chinese “din gum” which means ‘real gold.’ Many Chinese immigrants settled in the Victoria area, in the nineteenth century, to mine for gold. That is true, but whether they really told people about “din gum,” cannot be absolutely verified.
There is the possibility that it comes from an old English dialect. You find dinkum in Joseph Wright’s “English Dialect Dictionary” (1896-1905). In different parts of England, dinkum was used to mean a fair share of work. In Lincolnshire, Wright found dinkum being used to mean a demand for fair dealing.
In Rolf Boldrewood’s book (1888 in Australia), “Robbery Under Arms,” we find: “It took us an hour’s hard dinkum to get near the peak”. So, here it has the sense of exertion or work.
In the case of Internet Marketing, we could talk about a genuine program or product. We can talk about a genuine deal. We can talk about genuine program or site owners who tell us the fair dinkum truth. We can also say that to succeed we need to put in hours of hard dinkum.
Put it all together.
If you have a fair dinkum program owner, with a fair dinkum product, and who tells you the fair dinkum truth, and you are prepared to put in the fair dinkum work, you have the fair dinkum road to success!
The title for this post was “Is this fair dinkum?” I should perhaps have asked “Are these fair dinkum?” as I wish to recommend various learn and earn networks or programs here. On the other hand, I can stay with “Is this fair dinkum?” as the question that could and should be asked about every program or product.
